Videos have surfaced in the past few days of AI influencers that look indistinguishable from real life. The implications of this technology are hard to fathom at this point, applying all the way from UGC content to deepfakes for political elections. A real game changer.

Time to pack it up for everyone who had hopes of making it big as an influencer.
You have no shot of competing against a perfectly lab-crafted AI influencer that can be situated in any environment at any time. Lots of companies have been working on the task of AI-powered video, and we may now be nearing the tipping point where the quality of output is indistinguishable from reality. Check it out:

There are some caveats here. For one, these services like HeyGen or Arcad require a lot of model training in the form of real data - your data. You need to upload many minutes (or hours) of video of yourself talking to create these “video models.”
There is even a debate going on as to whether this replicated video is truly “AI-generated," given that the process requires actual video of real people to be trained on.
This is a silly argument to me. Every model works in this way, and just because the output video is of a real person who uploaded real videos of themselves does not make this any less AI-generated.
As the original poster says: Imagine this in 6 months.
